Harry Houdini Lives in Scranton! The only museum in the world entirely devoted to preserving the legacy of legendary escape artist Harry Houdini, this 12-year-old museum and house of magic on Main Avenue in North Scranton attracts curious visitors to the region from towns nationwide. In addition to unique T-shirts, posters and postcards depicting the mysterious Harry Houdini, the museum's gift shop offers tricks of the magical trade to set any aspiring child magician on the road to great deception. While it may not compare to the Everhart in terms of diversity or professionalism of curated exhibitions, this kitschy house of idolatry and fun boasts a specialized attention that's too attractive to ignore.
